Join us for exciting trek to the summit of Mt Victoria (3180m), the “Roof of Chin State”. On the journey enjoy beautiful scenery of Chin hills and jungle. Meet the friendly and fascinating Chin people and hike through the Nat Ma Taung National Park to the summit of Mt Victoria. This is quite a challenging trek recommended to people who are fit and work out regularly. During the trek you will accompanied by local guide, porter and other support team members. Accommodation will be in local houses in local conditions. We serve three meals per day and take care of all transfers and entrance fees locally.

Day 1 ➔ Bagan – Saw – Kyin Dway [-/-/D]

Early pickup from your hotel in Bagan (6.30am), transport to Saw/Laung She Ywa village at the foothills of the Chin mountains (lunch) – from there transportation over the mountains to Kyin Dway village (overnight).

Day 2 ➔ Kyin Dway – Aut yin [B/L/D]

We’re going remote! Beautiful, challenging trek from Kyin Dway via the village of Pan Taun to Aut Yin, where we will stay overnight.

Day 3 ➔ Aut Yin – Yan Se [B/L/D]

After breakfast, we follow the beautiful valleys and hills further north, passing some very remote villages, where all attention of the villagers will be on you (almost everywhere, though). Passing Shin Aung and Hmu Kyein Dein (one will be our lunch stop) we reach the village of Yan Se in the afternoon, our overnight stop for tonight!

Day 4 ➔ Yan Se – Loun Ein Nu – Ka Yain [B/L/D]

Today a slight change in direction, we’ll be walking towards the North-East now, straight towards Mt. Victoria, the “roof of Chin state. It’s still out of view, though. Lunch at Loun Ein Nu village, before we reach the big village of Ka Yain for the night!

Day 5 ➔ Ka Yain – Ma Kyar – Kin [B/L/D]

Today starts easy and relaxed with a long downhill trek (stunning views included) to Hee Phoun Village at the banks of the Moon River, from the after lunch a long uphill trek all the way to Ma Kyar village on more than 2000m altitude, already on the southern slopes of Mt. Victoria – and Further to the small hamlet of Kin, where we’ll spend our last night in beautiful Chin state!

Day 6 ➔ Kin – Mt. Victoria – Kanpetlet – Bagan [B/L/-]

The last day, with some special highlights! After early breakfast, it will take us around 3 hours to conquer Mount Victoria, at 3070 meters the highest point of Chin state! Enjoying our lunch packs there, we hike down for the last 3 miles through beautiful mountain forest to “Victoria basecamp” on the Mindat-Kanpetlet road, where our driver and car will be waiting for us. Via Kanpetlet (short stop if time allows) and Saw we drive towards Chauk on the Ayeyarwaddy river, from where it’s only 30 minutes until we reach Bagan, where you will be delivered at your hotel – and a hot shower will be waiting for you (est. arrival time Bagan around 8-10pm)
